Kepemimpinan Silva sebagai kapten PSG kembali diragukan. Ia dianggap tidak memiliki wibawa di antara para pemain bintang Les Parisiens macam Neymar dan Edinson Cavani.

Ia juga tidak terima dengan kritikan yang sampai menyinggung kepribadian, bukan lagi kemampuannya di lapangan.
“Saya hormati semua opini, tapi ketika Anda menyerang secara pribadi, situasinya semakin berat,” ujar Silva.

Terlebih, ia merasa terpukul karena kritikan tersebut sampai mempengaruhi keluarga dan orang-orang yang dicintainya. Padahal, ia memisahkan antara profesi dan kehidupan pribadinya.
“Ketika Anda mengenakan kaus PSG, Anda selalu memiliki tanggung jawab besar. Saya akan melanjutkan kerja keras untuk membantu rekan-rekan setim. Persaingan selalu ada di sepak bola,” ujar Silva.
“Semua hal sudah dikatakan, saya sudah 33 tahun. Saya menyisakan kontrak dua tahun dan setelah berakhir, saya akan menyerahkan peran saya ke orang lain,” kata Silva.
Silva sudah membawa PSG meraih 16 trofi liga maupun turnamen domestik lain di Perancis. Dari jumlah itu, Les Parisien mendapatkan lima trofi Ligue 1.
PSG pun berpeluang besar meraih treble setelah memenangkan Piala Perancis pada Rabu (18/4). Klub tersebut masih punya kans besar mengangkat trofi Ligue 1 dan Piala Liga Perancis.
