Salah satu pabrik terbesar di Italia yang diduga memproduksi barang-barang palsuan Rossi, baru-baru ini digerebek oleh otoritas keamanan keuangan Italia (Guardia di Finanza).
Dikutip dari Ansa.it, hasil produksi segala macam produk palsu Rossi itu sebagian besar dijual di salah satu portal lelang daring, eBay dengan nama akun shopromzena2016.
Setelah ditelusuri pihak Guardia di Finanza, terbongkar bahwa pabrik produksi tersebut barang-barang palsuan Rossi tersebut salah satunya terungkap di daerah Bolzaneto, Italia.
Di pabrik itu ditemukan sekitar 14 ribu item, bukan hanya produk palsu berlabel Rossi, juga ada sejumlah kecil lainnya produk perlengkapan dan pernak-pernik Ferrari.
Di sana ditemukan pula alat-alat produksi, komputer, dan sejumlah dokumen pengiriman barang dengan menggunakan kapal laut ke berbagai negara, serta berkas tanda terima pembelian.
Dari penyelidikan otoritas Italia itu, sekira 278 pelanggan barang-barang yang kebanyakan merupakan penjual pengecer itu telah teridentifikasi. Mereka akan mendapatkan sanksi denda beragam mulai €100 hingga €7 ribu euro.
Guardia di Finanza juga sudah menangkap tersangka pria 40 tahun pemilik pabrik itu. Ia kerap melakukan transaksi gelap itu dengan sejumlah aktivitas terselubung macam lelang barang-barang untuk Rossi.
Tersangka kemungkinan akan dijerat dengan hukum kurungan mulai dua hingga enam tahun plus denda antara €5.000 hingga €50 ribu.
Bukan hanya itu, tersangka juga diduga terlibat penggelapan pajak sejak 2013 hingga 2015.
