Brando mengatakan kemenangan di laga ini sebagai pembuktian jika dia masih tetap ada untuk merebut kembali sabuk juara yang kini dipegang Gunawan. Dan melihat peringkatnya saat ini, hal itu berpeluang besar bakal terjadi.
“Saya memang sudah rindu untuk kembali bertarung dan membuktikan kepada Indonesia bahwa saya masih bisa bersaing,” kata Brando kepada VIVA.
“Kemenangan ini sebagai pengingat kepada sang juara. Saya masih merasa sabuk itu punya saya sebab saya yang pertama mendapatkannya dan saya akan merebutnya kembali,” jelasnya.
Seperti diketahui, nama Brando sempat viral di media usai meraih sabuk juara dengan cara yang mengesankan. Dia melakukan tendangan memutar yang langsung membuat Adi Paryanto terkapar dalam tempo 15 detik.
Sayangnya, dalam duel perebutan sabuk juara kontra Gunawan, petarung asal Tanah Karo itu tak tampil prima. Dia menyerah dan membuat sabuk juara pindah ke tangan Gunawan.
